A Very Delicious (and light) Kiwi Pineapple Smoothie Recipe

(Versão em português disponível abaixo)

Since my “great Kiwi discovery” I’ve been totally addicted to it.

The recipe below is part of my regular diet, it’s very light in calories (around 85 kcal only), refreshing and deliciously healthy.

Kiwi Pineapply Smoothie. Yummy! --- Smoothie de Kiwi e Abacaxi. Delícia! :P

Kiwi Pineapply Smoothie. Yummy! / Smoothie de Kiwi e Abacaxi. Delícia! 😛

You’ll need:

  • 1 Kiwi fruit
  • 1 thick Pineapple slice
  • 300 ml water (10,1 oz)
  • Ice (as much as you prefer)
  • Brown/Demerara Sugar or sweeteners (as much as you prefer. However, to avoid a calorie increase, I’d rather use sweeteners although brown/demerara sugar is healthier. Up to you!)
  • A blender

Mix the ingredients in a blender until it gets smooth and voilá! It’s all ready. 🙂

Mix all the ingredients in a blender. I used sweeteners (you know... the calories).

Obrigada!

Pumpkins are very good for your health –  they are a extremely nutrient dense food, full of vitamins, minerals, really low on calories and delicious. Pumpkin soups are usually in my regular diet and I even created a recipe on my own, it’s completely dairy/meat free. Here it goes:

  • 500 ml Water
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 3-5 Garlic cloves

  • 75-100 ml coconut milk concentrate
  • 1 tbsp Canola oil or Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Shoyu
  • 1-3 Bay leaves
  • 1 Vegetable broth cube
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • Salt and black pepper powder (as much as you like)

How to cook:

Cook the pumpkins, bay leaves, broth and the cinnamon together in the water until the pumpkin gets soft, wait for it to cool down and book.

Saute the onion, garlic cloves and the seasoning together and book. Then, saute the kale, shoyu and mushrooms together and book.

Mix everything (except for the kale and mushrooms) in a blender then pour the mixture in a deep pot.

Add the coconut milk, kale and the mushrooms to the mixture and boil on low heat for 10 minutes. Add more salt or other seasonings if you wish. And it’s ready!
